About Me

Hi! I’m Anahi — the founder and owner of BXSIE, a small family-run business rooted in creativity, faith, and a deep love for books.

As a stay-at-home mom, military wife, and follower of Jesus, I launched BXSIE to blend my passions into something meaningful. What started as a creative hobby quickly became a growing brand for book lovers like me who value simplicity and practicality.

I’m based in Washington State, where I spend most of my time running BXSIE, reading in my hammock, or wandering through bookstores (and buying way too many books!). Every product I design is inspired by real life — from the chaos of motherhood to the calm of quiet reading moments.

Meet Daniel
Co-Owner & Behind-the-Scenes Support

Hi, I’m Daniel — Anahi’s husband and a proud active duty member of the United States Navy. I’m a God-fearing man who values faith, family, and service. When I’m not deployed, I’m behind the scenes at BXSIE, helping with orders and supporting the day-to-day operations wherever I can.

Outside of work and military life, I enjoy fishing, boxing, and reading — especially on quiet days that allow me to recharge and stay grounded.

 

How BXSIE Was Born

As an avid reader who takes her books everywhere, I wanted a simple, stylish way to protect them on the go. That’s when I started making and selling book sleeves on Etsy — just for fun at first.

But during a checkup appointment one day, I realized something: most book sleeves (including the ones I sold) were bulky, overly padded, and covered in cutesy prints. I couldn’t find anything that matched my personal style — something minimalist, compact, and functional. That’s when the idea for the Minimalist Corduroy Book Pouch was born — and it quickly became my bestseller.

After seeing such a positive response on Etsy, I knew it was time to take the leap and build something bigger. I launched my own website and began brainstorming a name that felt just right. After days of thinking, I came up with BXSIE — pronounced “booksy,” but with a unique twist. (Fun fact: many of our customers pronounce it “B-X-Y” — and we love that too! We even find ourselves saying it that way sometimes.)

Today, BXSIE is more than just a store — it’s a growing brand built for readers who value simplicity, practicality, and a touch of style.

Our mission is to create minimalist, thoughtfully designed bags and sleeves for your favorite paperbacks and Kindles. Unlike most book sleeves on the market, ours are intentionally unpadded to keep them lightweight and compact, yet still protective against dirt, tears, and bent pages. And instead of button closures, we use high-quality zippers for extra security and easy access — so your books stay safe and sound wherever you go.

As a small, family-run business, I take great pride in what we do and am committed to providing excellent customer service.
